Profile

David Mossler

During his 45 years in Los Angeles real estate, David Mossler has solidified his reputation as the leading expert in buying and selling architecturally significant homes and landmark estates.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Mossler moved to Los Angeles in 1963 and after college started his entertainment career in the fabled mail room at CMA (now ICM). He became an agent there at 23, then joined Merv Griffin Productions as head of theatrical management.

After eight years in the entertainment industry, Mossler discovered his true passion—real estate. He spent two years honing his skills at the Jon Douglas Company then struck out on his own.

As the founder of Mossler, Deasy & Doe, David Mossler was the first to recognize the importance of marketing and selling outstanding works of architecture. “Creating a residential real estate firm that focused exclusively on great design and architecture was unheard of in 1978,” he says. The legendary firm was instrumental in educating Californians, and a new generation of Realtors, on the value of preserving and honoring its architectural heritage.

Now at Douglas Elliman, David Mossler continues to do what he knows best—seeking out distinctive architectural properties and great estates for a discerning clientele. His longtime partnership with Ranch Marketing Associates also allows him to indulge another real estate passion—representing buyers and sellers of ranches.

David Mossler has earned the respect of the real estate industry by championing California’s rich architectural heritage. His high-profile clients, who include celebrities, media moguls and CEOs, respect his knowledge and professionalism as well as his discretion and attention to customer service.
